I had absolutely no idea how quickly these things heat up. Once I finally found a pan, I ran it for approximately 2 seconds before reaching in and touching the bottom of the pan. Bad move, as evidenced by the burns on my fingers. Oops.

Induction burners are amazing. I almost forgot I need to buy one before I get my new place. They are certainly handy to have too.
